Please let me know how many successful pregnancies you've had with AI. Looking for Caucasian, french and/or polish donor, along with STD/drug and CMV results. We are in MA and would like to use fresh AI with the perfect donor.
We are just beginning to embrace this idea so please only serious inquires. We are willing to travel to the New England areas of MA, CT and Upstate NY. Thanks for such a selfless gift!
[FQ, moderator: Sorry about the non-success with fertility clinics. Did you try husband or donor sperm? French and/or Polish is a much narrower band of possible donors than simply Caucasian. There are usually not too many AI donors, so one should try keep options open.
CMV - it only makes sense to look for someone who is CMV negative if you are using quarantined frozen/rethawn sperm. If you are using fresh sperm, concentrating on a CMV-negative donor is iffy, because one could have someone who has been just infected and not yet antibody positive. Donors who are negative for anti-CMV IgM but positive for anti-CMV IgG are fairly safe - about 60-80% of adults belong to this variety.]
