Can I please please re-emphasise to all recipients that we all need to give
each other mutual respect when asking people to give up their time and help
with donations?
I have, yet again, had a recipient who has cancelled on me with no notice
and I have been unable to get to another recipient I wanted to help who is
ovulating at the same time but lived 150 miles away because I arranged to be
local to this original recipient.
I have no issues with people cancelling because they are ill or have other
problems, but I have a big issue with people using my time and cancelling
right at the last minute because they have changed their mind about wanting
a donation. I ask everyone to think before going along with this process
that you are committed. Donors are a valuable commodity and some of us are
close to giving up because we cannot rearrange our life timetable to be
available and then cancelled a few hours before due to be giving the
donation.
