Hi Laura and other Stay at Home Moms,
I thought I'd answer your questions briefly to the group(I did send a more detailed private e-mail to you Laura).
I have only recently decided to work Melaleuca as a home based business after shopping with them for the last 6 months.I wanted to try their products to see if they were really as great as everyone said they were, and so far I am very happy and even plesantly surprised with several of their products.I haven't tried everything they make yet, they have over 350 different products.
The other reason that I decided to try working this as a home based business, is that each month that I have been a customer with Melaleuca,I have received a commision check. They have sent me a check that I can put in the bank, not for product redemption or something like that, actual money, just for shopping with them for items I would normally have to drive 10 miles to town for (one way mileage). With Melaleuca,I can place my order online,or over the phone, and it arrives quickly right to my doorstep, within two days usually.
My commission has not been huge, but it certainly covers shipping and a bit of my order each month, where as, if i had to drive to town each month for items,I wouldn't get the gas money back from anyone, save this much money,or be able to buy products that are as good as Melaleuca has to offer. So switching stores for better, safer, and more economical products only makes sense to me.
I figure if I'm already getting a commission check each month, wouldn't it make sense to try to work at this as a business,a little at a time, and make enough to pay for my whole order each month and have some extra money for other things like holiday gifts and such. All I have to do is introduce people to Melaleuca and when they decide to shop with the company,I make a commission and so do they from everyone else who shops each month with the company. There is no risk, every dollar you spend, you can get back if you are unhappy with a product, even if you used up most of it.
So, this didn't exactly turn out to be brief, but I am excited and blown away by this company!
