So, yesterday evening upon arriving home from work, I do the usual. Grab the
mail, bring in the pails, go in and start dinner. While dinner is
cooking,approximately 515, I sort through the mail. There is is an envelope with
the NYS Health Departments return address.
So, open the envelope and start reading. All that rings through my head are 3
words, YOU MUST CALL.
So, I call, luckily enough,my worst of fears are not confirmed. Apparently, they
are investigating an individual for lying about their test results, or altering
them. They tell you who.
I as an adult do not feel the need to disparage anyone one here. As, most of the
donors I have come across are truly wonderful men, just willing to help.
Thankfully, I never had contact with this particular individual, other then
e-mails. I never received a shipment from him, therefore I am ok.
I guess what bothers me is, this individual never disclosed the truth to me,
after learning that he is an STD carrier, and was quite willing to send me a
shipment at the drop of a dime.
To all who are out there, I wish you all the luck in the world. Please DO NOT
accept any donation, from anyone at their word. Also, given this current
situation, I would not accept any STD test results ,that I cannot view in
person, to at least attempt to AUTHENTICATE. I know I sound redundant, as all of
this has been said in the past by others, please understand I just had the scare
of my life.
