Hi.
I'm a single professional woman/recipient, going down this journey of trying to have a baby. When I first started this journey I really thought I had no other choice than anonymous sperm donation and did 2 failed IUI cycles, only to discover the private sperm donor option recently. Thankfully I've found a wonderful donor through this site and hope it works out for me soon to be able to conceive. I haven't shared my journey with the private sperm donation with too many because of the stigma and lack of knowledge and understanding in the general population regarding private sperm donation.
However, my very good friend and even my fertility doctor (who has been supportive) strongly suggested that I seriously think about writing a book about this; both from a personal journey (I've thrown in alot of humour as I've shared my journey with my friend and doctor) and to bring attention to the very serious issues surrounding sperm donation in general (anonymous) and private sperm donation.
What I've found most amazing is the sperm donors; their selfless role in all of this. I've heard many tell their stories of why they do it and I'm still so amazed.
Well, I've decided to embark on writing a book and seeing how it goes.
