I am happy to say that I am pregnant with twins but this morning I am worrying about not only their health but mine too. This morning I received a letter stating that I have been exposed to std's from the donor. The letter states " The donor whose activities prompted this letter had posted a laboratory test result for herpes simplex virus Type 2 antibodies and that was misrepresented as NEGATIVE; the original report from the laboratory listed the result as POSITIVE." Please get tested if you have used this donor. If you have not used this donor be grateful and take this warning as a caution.
[from group owner ML: I'm still trying to find out more about this case,
but I believe that Mike stopped donating a few months ago, and that the
risk of transmission of HSV2 by AI is minimal. Sperm banks apparently
do not test for HSV2.
